A year has passed
A year has passed since I last wrote and since that time Puddleopedia was created which acts much like the encyclopedia I wanted Eyes of Puddleby to become. There’s even CLUMP which is an unofficial manual and has many tips, group strategies, game mechanics, etc.
Both sites encourage exiles to contribute and, unlike my failed requests for help, actually have people submitting articles. They have a great deal of information so it would be better to contribute to them than try to duplicate their efforts. It would be a waste of time and why have the same information in more than one place?
The question now is whether Eyes of Puddleby should continue and if so, in what capacity. If not an encyclopedia due to Puddleopedia and not a manual due to CLUMP and not current news due to Thoomcare then what could possibly be left?
I really don’t know at this point. The only thing I can think of is to just use it as a journal but I can just use my (neglected) LiveJournal instead. I’m sad to say that I am leaning towards giving up on Eyes of Puddleby entirely unless I can find something of value I can do to contribute to Clan Lord.
Moving Over
For many months Eyes of Puddleby at Free Conversant has remained dormant and not updated. Many reasons were behind this, including a decline in interest in Clan Lord and of the mystic profession. However, I have decided to return in full force and to once again maintain the Eyes of Puddleby but in a new location.
I’ll have much work to do in order to ensure a faithful reproduction of all of the information but I believe at this point that it will be worth it in the end.
